Skinny Book - U is for Unbalanced

Our challenge for the last page of our Skinny Alphabet book was to use an image transfer technique.
As my book´s theme is "In the Mood" I´ve decided to illustrate an unbalanced person by layering different pictures of this person.
These are four transfers made with transfer ink which is very easy to use for the layering technique. I have then added the cut outs at the bottom.
The photo shows my finished Skinny Alphabet Book - you can see all the pages together here.

Grey Area

I haven´t done my letter F ATCs for the ongoing alphabet swap yet, but I couldn´t resist making this letter G ATC today. I must confess that I didn´t know before that the German word "Grauzone" is exactly the same as the English "Grey Area".

Moments

This ATC sized playing card is my entry for this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme "Altered Playing Cards".

Be Square

What a fun theme this week for the Wednesday Stamper´s challenge! Do you remember the song by Huey Lewis & The News? If not, it´s here.
Not one of their best songs, but it immediately came to my mind when I read the theme, and here´s my hip business man on his way to the office ...
Sorry, my scanner hates these colours so I had to take a photo - please click on the pic to enlarge it and take a closer look.

Maps

This 4 x 5,6 inches arch is my entry for this week´s Mixed Media Monday theme "Maps".

Skinny Book - I is for Introverted

The challenge for our letter I page was to use a small frame for our composition and fill it with diamond glaze or any other dimensional lacquer. In my example the frame doesn´t really highlighten the woman´s emotional expression - but I think it nevertheless supports the illustration of the illustrated mood: she seems to be caged in the frame or in the music she has in her head, and so it´s the perfect addition here.

Flourishes

What a lovely theme for this week´s Gothic Arches challenge: Flourishes. As some of them remind me of boughs, birds seemed to be the natural inhabitants for such an arch.

Schooldays ATCs

"The Journey of your Life" and "My Classmates", two Schooldays themed ATCs for Xela.

This week´s theme for the "Make a Moo or Two" challenge smells like a day at the sea ...

Art it up!

I´ve found the unbelievable 17th century engraving of the windmill man last week. Here it meets a lovely Uptown stamp of a human church to illustrate this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme "Art it up!". Try creating new realities with art!

Not old!

A friend of mine will have this card in his mailbox next month for his 50th birthday. He doesn´t read my blog and does not even like what some of you call "my art", but I hope he´ll like to have a greeting card at least!

Zettis again!

I´ve been in an experimental mood today, so it was the right day to make some more Zetti ATCs! These two are for Johanna.

A Closet Full of Dreams

Have you noticed that I love house shapes? So my entry for Cynthia´s RR Altered Book "A Closet Full of Dreams" is house shaped, too ...
Probably you know the song quoted on the left page, and if you open the window, you´ll find a Henri-Frédéric Amiel quote that I have always loved: Reverie is the Sunday of the thought.

Skinny Book - N is for Naughty

The challenge for our letter N page was to use rub-ons.
As my book´s theme is "In the Mood" I have chosen to introduce this naughty gang to you. The trees and the letters are rub-ons.

Melancholy ATCs

Two Melancholy themed ATCs for Sandra.
