New Egg Heads

On Sunday, I´ve had fun again with our annual Easter Egg Painting event. Three of my best friends visited me, and we´ve been painting eggs from 3 p.m. until midnight. The little nest above shows the three egg heads that I´ve made for my growing egg head collection (see the egg heads from previous years below).

Fun with Mixed Parts!

There´s a new kit in the Mischief Circus shop today from Tumble Fish Circus, called "Mixed Parts". Both samples here have been made with this kit exclusively. Though these are digital, you can also use the printable collage sheets from the kit to have fun with cut and paste collages.

Animal People and More

"Animal People" is this week´s theme for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge (chosen by my sister Sabine). When I made this sample for Nancy Baumiller´s wonderful new Crowabout StudioB kit "Steadfast", I immediately knew that I´d use it as my entry tonight. The words I´ve used here are some of my favourite verses from Virginia Woolf.
[P. S.: I´ve just found out that my bear card was picked as a GSO on March 28 - thanks!]

For those of you who prefer rubber stamped postcards, here´s another card using brand new Hipster stamps from Stempelbar and word strips from Tim Holtz:

To show the versatility of Nancy´s "Steadfast" kit, here´s another (not animal people themed) sample illustrating more favourite verses, this time by B. K. Cline.

Steampunk Man

For this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge themed "Vintage Gentlemen", I´ve used a cabinet card from the flea market and combined it with images from Lynne Anzelc, Finecrafted Designs, Holliewood Studios and Marta van Eck to make this guy a Steampunk Man.

Twilight Magic

Nancy from Crowabout StudioB has a new kit out now called "Twilight Magic", and her images often tempt me to go a bit snarky ... My samples are digital, but as always, this kit includes printable collage sheets that you can use for your cut and paste artwork.

Renew!

Marsha from Tumble Fish Studio came out with her parts of the Monthly Mischief collection "Renew" today at MischiefCircus.com. My first two collages have been made exclusively with her first kit "Renew", and the third and forth collage have been made with "Renew 2". If you prefer cut and paste collages, you can use the printable collage sheets that come with both kits. Time for a little play with Spring colours!

One of a Kind

This week´s theme for the Sunday Postcard Art challenge is Poetry, and I`ve had a hard time to decide which poem I wanted to use for my card. Finally I went with some verses from Anne Sexton, illustrated with images from Miles Beyond the Moon.

Welcome, Songbirdy!

Today´s the day for the wonderful Beth Todd who opened her Songbirdy shop at Mischief Circus!
I´ve had so much fun playing with her first kits, they are very inspiring and easy to work with. My first three collages here have been made with "Attitude", a very versatile image collection as you can see when you look at "My Private Room" above, "Party Chat" below, and the third one called "London Nights".

My next two collages "Rest" and "The Look" have been made with Beth´s Songbirdy kit "Orientalism" only, the other two collages called "Bazaar" and "The Lost Snakes" combine that kit with the add-on kit "Orientalism The Men".

But wait, there´s more! Beth even has a free kit for you called "Debut", so have a look at her shop and grab it, and you´ll get an impression of how beautiful the new Songbirdy kits are. My collage below has been made with that free kit only.
Can´t wait for the next Songbirdy kits!

Transformation

I´ve recently read the first and second part of Ransom Riggs´ Miss Peregrine novel series. So when I played with Mary Bailey´s new and absolutely wonderful kit "Miss Finch", I´ve been inspired by these books of course. I still haven´t seen Tim Burton´s film version but will catch up soon ...

Healing Place

Nancy Baumiller aka Crowabout StudioB came out with her new kit "Healing Place" tonight. Both my samples have been made exclusively with that kit, and there are soooo many more possibilities to play with it - including cut and paste work using the printable collage sheets that come with this kit.

Companion - Friend - Pet

If you have a pet, you know that it´s an adventure to adopt such a pet friend as your companion, and it´s definitely an adventure you´re taking together - maybe that´s why this dog looks a little worried?
However, this is my card for this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge themed "Dictionary", so I´ve even stamped the dog´s body on a dictionary page. I´ve used rubber stamps from Carabelle, Paper Artsy, Kaisercraft, Tim Holtz, and Stampington for this card.

Imagination

Have you visited Mischief Circus this week to see their Fantastical Steampunk collab kits? They can be combined easily, as in this piece where I´ve used kits from Holliewood Studios, Itkupilli and Miles Beyond the Moon.

Fantastical Steampunk!

If you haven´t already noticed it: Marsha from Tumble Fish Studio is back creating kits for Mischief Circus, yeah! And for today´s BIG release of the Fantastical Steampunk Collaboration, she had made even two new kits. My first four collages have been made with Tumble Fish´s Fantastical Steampunk kit: Mr. Lucky, Birdland, Fly, and Yellow Light.

These next two digital postcards have been made with Marsha´s Fantastical Steampunk 2 kit.

Benevolence

Benevolence is the name of Nancy Baumiller´s new and lovely Crowabout StudioB kit at Mischief Circus. Both collages here have been made exclusively with this kit. As it comes with printable collage sheets, you can also use it for your cut and paste artwork.

Blackbird

Blackbird is not only the name of Mary Bailey´s new Miles Beyond the Moon kit at Mischief Circus, but also this week´s challenge theme at Three Muses - and of course the title of a beautiful Beatles song from which the quote in this card is taken.

A Life in Sepia

I´m not a big fan of the colour brown, but as this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge theme is Sepia, I´ve made a collaged postcard layering all shades of brown. I started with a base made of a vintage postcard and a cabinet card from my own stash and combined these with elements from Angie Young, Anna Aspnes, Crafty Button Designs and a Scrapbookgraphics Studio Stories collab.

Poe Shirt (Blog hop repost)

In celebration of Poe´s birthday and the according Poe Appreciation Day Blog Hop, I´m showing this stamped shirt again, illustrating "The Raven". I´ve decided to go with black and red only, not only because that colour scheme went well with the logo of the Stempelmekka that was already printed on the shirt, but these colours also fit the poem´s atmosphere. I´ve used fabric stamping paint (sold by Heindesign) and a foam brush to put the paint on the rubber stamps. For my design, I´ve used rubber stamps from Carmen´s Veranda, LaBlanche, Lost Coast Designs, Green Pepper Press, Cherry Pie, and Red Lead. I think it´s amazing how well stamps from 6 different companies work together here to form the final design.
To find the other entries for this blog hop, please have a look here:

Circles

This week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge theme is "Circles". For my entry above I´ve used rubber stamps from Katzelkraft, IndigoBlu, Paper Artsy, and Stampington.
