Dare and Moments of Lifetime

Back from my Christmas holidays, I have some better scans of white ATCs now (thanks to my sister!).

Innocent White

Here´s another white one - what a relaxation to make those simple white ATCs in this hectic state of a christmas week.

White Bird

Here´s another ATC for the two White swaps - I couldn´t resist to have these eyes looking at me out of white feathers, and I´ve had the song in my ears all the time ... (is it by "It´s a beautiful day"? it reminds me on days of youth anyway).

Garden ATCs

My sister has taken a digital photo of my ATCs for the Garden swap, so now all the embellishments can be seen without darkening the picture as a whole. I´ve changed the scans in the older entries now (see November archives). Many thanks to my sister!

Those were the days

Here´s my third and last self-portrait for the Wednesday Stampers. You can see my efforts to look intelligent on a photo when I was three. Some things never change ;-)

Another Self-Portrait

You already know this two year old girl - I wasn´t a book person when I was young, but the more I am today, so this is a combination of the child and the adult.
I would never have thought of making "self-portraits", but I have to confess it´s fun to use photos of yourself. Thanks to the Wednesday Stampers for this great idea!

Self-Portrait

In fact I´ve never felt like a princess when I was a child - so I couldn´t resist to alter my memories for the Wednesday Stampers´ self-portrait theme. I don´t know to which building the steps on the photo of my two year old self belong, but as I grew up in Cologne, I wanted me to sit in front of the cathedral. (Stamps from Stampendous, Rajastamps, and Lost Coast.)

Snowy again

Another Snow White ATC.

The Queen of Snow White

A bad scan, but a nice ATC - the second white one today. My scanner doesn´t like the shimmering snowflakes at all.

The third ATC is almost ready, too, but it´s way too late for setting eyelets :))

White Challenge

Another challenge for a colour lover like me: making white ATCs! This is my first one, and I´ll try to make enough for two swaps in the next weeks. It´s always interesting to see how much stuff you already have for a certain theme which had a good sleep in your boxes for a while ...

Embellishment week

This ATC for the Journey swap is my entry for the Wednesday Stampers this week. The theme is Embellishments, and I´ve used quite a lot of my favourites here: a single word from Tim Holtz, a locomotive charm, a Fresh Verse transparency from Déjà Views with two brads, and a frame by Karen Foster - I love her Corner & Frame Brads and use them in different ways: here the frame is highlighting the destination for example. The map stamp is from Time to Stamp. Oh, and the image was glazed with Diamond Glaze which I often use to get a 3-D look on my ATCs. The frame is filled with glaze, too.

My first folded Art Doll ATC

Today I´ve made my first folded Art Doll ATC; it´s for a Journey swap.

Mrs Dolittle

I´ve made another bird ATC this weekend - Mrs Dolittle is able to talk to the birds of course.

Black and White

I haven´t made a completely stamped card for quite a while, but this week´s theme on the Wednesday Stamper site is "Black and White", and so I thought it would be nice by way of a change. O. k., now I know why I´ve always thought that my domain is the colouring :-) This one looks a bit naked for me ...

Don´t rob my nest

My friend Ute sent me some paint chips today, and I painted this one with acrylics, used green patina, a stamp and collage things - so another Garden ATC was finished.

Making Friends

My third ATC for the Garden Swap is called "Making Friends" - this girl makes her dream come true by talking to the animals in the garden and learning from them how to sing and fly ...

Another ATC tonight

This one was made just for fun. The longer my "to do" list is, the more I like to make themeless ATCs for my album for trading.

Numbers playing card

Here´s an ATC for the Wednesday Stampers´ Numbers week - apparently children are more interested in numbers than adults ...

Numbers week

This week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme is "Numbers". Here´s my entry, and I´ve made a bunch of ATCs with the same theme last week (see below).

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

In the garden

Here´s another ATC for the Queen of Swaps´ theme "I found it in the garden". Again it´s a bad scan because of the beads on the flowers.

For Elof Johan

Last week I got a card from my friend Katrin from Sweden, announcing the birth of her son Elof Johan. So here´s my welcome card for him and a greeting card for his parents and his sister, wishing all the best for the little family.

Tag

This week´s Wednesday Stampers´ theme "tag" offers so many possibilities! This one wasn´t really planned, it just came out ... and it´s definitely not MY flute playing that makes her flying so high ;-)

What for?

I´m thinking about hosting a Crowes and Ravens Swap for some time because I love these birds. This could be my first ATC for the swap, or this scene could be found in the garden, or or or ...

Bee

You´ve always wanted to get a really bad scan? So here´s my instruction: use metallic acrylics, paper flowers and beads, and it´ll be the worst scan you´ve ever seen. So you just have to believe me that this ATC is much better in the flesh ;-)
It´s my first ATC for another swap on Keron´s Queen of Swaps site, called "I found it in the garden". Thanks to Gisele for the paper flowers!

Stars

Christmas isn´t far, but I wanted to make some ATCs with stars without a Christmas touch. So I tried some Basic Grey Papers which I love but seldom use.

Numbers

I´ve made these six ATCs for a Numbers Swap this afternoon. As always, at first I´ve had no idea what to do but couldn´t stop later ...

Hand

Here´s my card for this week´s Wednesday Stampers theme "Hand" (http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/).

Art and Architecture Swap

I´ve finished my Art and Architecture ATCs for the Queen of Swaps Trading Site. The titles are "Edward Hopper in his own world", "St. Peter", "Vacation", "Four Steps to Power and Glory", "The Door to the Past", and "C. D. Friedrich meets the Modern World".

St. Peter

Another card for the Art and Architecture Swap - it shows three stages of St. Peter in Rome.

Man II

Another man for the Wednesday Stampers (http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/). He´s proud to be the master of the house, but somehow he seems to be locked in his own house ...

Man

This week´s card for the Wednesday Stampers (http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/). The theme is "Man", and it´s much more my theme than Halloween (which I left out or better - as you may have seen under "What is scary?" - made my own kind of Halloween card).

Dangerous

Another Folded ATC.

Art Genius

As I said before: it´s fun!

Folded ATCs

These are my first "folded ATCs" - just stamped and folded, so that there´s always something hidden behind the front. It´s fun to think about the possibilities ...

What is scary?

I don´t fear spiders, skulls or bats, so this is my Halloween card. Isn´t reality scary enough?
It´s the sixth cARTalog ATC for the Paper Traders´ swap, you can see the other five in the archives.

Hostess Monas

These are the hostess cards for the Mona Madness swap: the Postage Mona has been stamped on a background painted with acrylics and pencils and then scratched and embossed.
Mona in Venice was made with the soot technique and additional stamping.

Mona Madness

I´ve finished my ATCs for the Mona Madness Swap on artisttradingcards today. I´ve tried some different techniques as stamping, image transfer, and collage, so the results are very diverse, too.

Four Steps to Power and Glory

Today´s ATC is for a swap named "Art and Architecture". I´m not sure if I manage to make five more ATCs, but it´s a good start, I think.

Crown III

Another one for the Wednesday stampers - (http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/):
It´s no wonder that this girl has now an elfish cast in her eyes because she has just discovered that she can talk to her pets ...

Crime Time - cARTalog

Here´s one of the cARTalog library cards which I found more difficult to work on - it´s about the psychology of rape victims. I´ve had a few ideas very early but didn´t know how to place them cautious enough. This has been an interesting challenge.

Crown II

The second entry for the wednesday stamper project is an ATC using Lost Coast´s lovely Mona Lisa and a castle by The Stamp Mine (Stempelmine).

Crown I

This Wednesday´s theme is "Crown" (see http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/), so my first thought went to the frog I had just found in a newspaper - he doesn´t need to be kissed to become a prince, and he definitely climbs better than the king of the animals.

My Rusty Seven

Here´s the second one of last night´s acrylic backgrounds - its colours just asked for some specific collage elements. My friend Joyce sent me the rusty seven some time ago (thanks, Joyce!) and I thought it was perfect with the green and copper - I hope she´ll like it.
