My Body is a Cage

You wouldn´t believe how many birdcage stamps I own, so when I saw this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge theme Birdcage, I knew I´d make something. But it wasn´t before I went through my stamps that I knew I´d use THIS really unusual one by Nonsequitur. It´s based on a Magritte painting from 1937 called "The Therapist" that exists in a few different versions. If you google it, you´ll even find interpretations from actual therapists ... but I decided to make my own one based on a song by Arcade Fire, "My Body is a Cage", also featured by Peter Gabriel.

My Body is a cage that keeps me
from dancing with the one I love
but my mind holds the key.

No Solutions

This last 3 x 3 inches piece for the Vintage/Olden days swap is a bit 3-D, but my scanner managed it this time. Do YOU believe in sciences?

The French Captain

If you know this man, just ignore it, he has another personal story from now on: He´s a French captain missing since shipwrecked in 1849 ...

Trying hard

Normally I´m not much into brown-in-brown collages, but as the theme for these 3 x 3 inches collages is Vintage/Olden days it seems to be appropriate.

Dance

I´ve tried a new format tonight for another group I´ve joined, 3 x 3 inches. The theme for this swap is Vintage/Olden Days, and I just couldn´t resist. Love that format, so here´s the first of four collages.
