Little Girls

Three ATCs for a swap themed "Little Girls", more are coming. They all have the same background but different stories. I especially like the "invisible" girl which reminds me of childhood thoughts. I don´t know why almost all children themed artwork is romantic; hasn´t it been awful to think and hear that you are too young for everything, can´t decide for yourself, have no choices, ... doesn´t it feel like you´re noone? Am I the only person who HATED this?

Skinny Book - C is for Courteous

This week we were asked to try the emboss resist technique for our letter C word. I´ve painted a background with ocre acrylic paint, stamped and clear embossed the Fleur de Lis, painted other colours over and ironed the piece. In the end I used chalks to make it more distinct.

Post No. 300

I just realized that I´m running my blog for about one year now and this is post No. 300 ... Maybe that is what made the lady do her happy dance? (Thanks Kelly for the great background!)

The postage man obviously doesn´t want to join the party - he can´t decide if he is Mr. Bolz or Mr. Wilde and if he´s on the guest list.

Skinny Book - P is for Plucky

This week Keron had a really difficult challenge for us - to use a background paper which gives the cue for our word ...

Well, you know that the theme of my book is "In the mood", so I´ve had many ideas like pained, paralysed, passionate, peevish, pensive, perfidious, perky, petrified, phlegmatic, playful, puzzled ... but I did NOT have any background papers for these feelings.

It´s amazing where these weekly challenges lead us, and this week it´s the only appropriate background paper I´ve found for the letter P which led me to the plucky mood. We all know these days we feel as if we could manage everything because there seems to be a helpful hand guiding us - there might be dangers and stumbling blocks lying around us, but we´re strong enough to cope with them. But the lion here is not only dangerous, he´s also the impersonation of power and pluck ...

This week´s mood for my "In the Mood" book is "sad", and the page shows the other side of autumn: If you live in the place where I live, it´s not always orange and warm but grey and cold. So this page also qualifies for this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme "Autumn colours", it´s just a bit different ...
