Have you already noticed the wonderful "
Mind Wide Open" challenges? This time you have to use a beautiful picture of a woman behind a keyhole and the word "secret" as a prompt for your piece. The frame for this piece is 8,3 x 8,3 inches. I have painted and rusted the frame and image and added some rusted metal embellishments. The rusted key at the bottom was attached by a torn piece of fabric. The whole piece is hanging from a piece of wire going through the golden heart below the word "secret". The poem written on the frame is medieval German from the 12th century:
Du bist min, ich bin din / des solt du gewis sin. / du bist beslozzen / in minem herzen: / verlorn ist das sluzzelin: / du muost och immer darinne sin.
(You are mine, I am yours for sure. You are in my heart, and the key is lost. You always have to be in there.)
