Isn´t it irresistible?

It´s here! Don´t you want to go out and feel it? Smell it? Touch it? Spring has sprung, so here are my Alphabet Discovery book pages illustrating the letter I, and this spread is my entry for this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s challenge "Enchanted Spring" as well. Stamps by Catslife Press, A Stamp in the Hand, Zettiology, and Stampotique ... and maybe anybody knows where the flower comes from!? (I´ve purchased it on Ebay and don´t know the company.)

After having visited a crafts convention on Saturday, I couldn´t wait to use some of the new stamps we had purchased, so I´ve made a few ATCs inspired just by what was lying on my desk. New stamps never fail to inspire me to make some art. Where do YOU get your ideas and inspiration from?

Recipe for a Fun Sunday

It´s easy: invite three good friends, blow a few eggs and bake a cake with their content, have some sweets, coffee, and sparkling wine ready, put all your paints and art stuff on your table and don´t forget some music in your CD player ... a fun Sunday will be guaranteed! We´ve had a nice art party together yesterday in the midst of this chaos, and we´ve all been satisfied with our results (if you´re not, maybe try another glass of sparkling wine) ...

This 4 x 6 page for a Zetti themed book (this month the challenge was "Crow") was made using different mediums - first I´ve made a digital collage, then printed it on watercolour paper, then painted and scribbled with crayons and pencils and finally handstitched a bit ...

Three ATCs for an insect themed swap - I really wanted to do some bugs and other insects but couldn´t resist butterflies today!

OWOH - Christmas in March

Today my last two OWOH giveaways arrived in my mailbox, and it felt like Christmas! Pick a Letter

What a wonderful theme we have this week for the Wednesday Stamper´s challenge: Pick a Letter! For my 8,3 x 5,9 " card I´ve used magazine cutouts, a stenciled and glimmer misted alphabet background, collage elements and stamps from Paperbag Studios, Heindesign, and MadRat.

Then sings my Soul

It´s Carnival Monday today, a day that I don´t like at all because of the horrible German carnival music I hear when I open my window ... but as it´s a day off work, I´ve had the time to enjoy the sunshine and the birds on my balcony and to put those impressions in a digital collage.

Multiple Personality

Last week I´ve shown you a split personality with my SPA challenge piece, a man torn between the wish to explore the world and the need to stay at home.
This week´s SPA challenge is themed "Illusion", and here´s not a split but a multiple personality ...
Don´t you sometimes feel like there are different characters within your own self? don´t you find you act like one of your ancestors always did? or do you recognize some facial expressions in your own face that you´ve always hated when you observed your parents? or don´t you sometimes think you carry shades of your own self with you that you had hoped to have overcome years ago? So ... feeling like a multiple personality does not necessarily mean to be sick at all ... I really think we all have those feelings from time to time. But of course it´s an illusion if you don´t believe in constructivism. Does reality exist or is it an illusion? And what´s your role in that game?

I´ve made a second Ancestors piece for this week´s Three Muses challenge - this is addictive! I´ve used one of my favourite family photos with my grandparents (second from the left and middle) taken in 1926.

Laugh to the Skies

This ATC combines three challenges - it features a dimensional collage fragment made for Linda´s Compendium of Curiosities Challenge, was made with a Glimmer misted background and therefore qualifies for the Creavil challenge, and it´s my vision of "Spring is in the air", this week´s Crazy Amigo challenge.
