Witch and Wizard Block

Recently, I´ve spent a week at my sister´s home for a short vacation. As always, we had much fun crafting and stamping together. This time, she surprised me with a project idea for Chunky ATCs - ATC sized wooden blocks (ours measure 2,5 x 3,5 x 1,7 inches). Some years ago, we had planned to take part in a Chunky ATC swap, but we didn´t have the time for it or stepped out because of the expensive shipping costs, I don´t remember. However, we had our wooden blocks as leftovers, and Sabine now proposed to decorate them for Halloween.

So here´s mine: there´s a wizard on the front (collage image from Red Lead, stamps and word die cut from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous/Sizzix, and I love his bat bow tie made of ribbon!)
The back has a witch: a rubber stamp from Stempelbar, a skirt made from a spider web die cut, and numbers and word die cuts from Tim Holtz/Sizzix.
On top, there´s a spider web ribbon with a plastic spider.
Both sides are decorated with Tim Holtz rubber stamps and die cuts.

We´ve had much fun with our Chunky ATCs, and I really like our results. You can have a look at my sister Sabine´s Halloween block on her blog here.

Owl Be Watching You

I´ve had so much fun making this owl card for this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge! The background is made with three hand-dyed book pages, the stamps are from Red Lead and Flamingo,  the die cuts from Tim Holtz.

Heart Wide Open

Nancy from Crowabout StudioB has come out with three new image kits today. For my cut and paste postcards I´ve used her Textured Collage Papers and the Heart Wide Open kit (plus rubber stamps from PaperArtsy for "By the Stars and Moonlight" and from VivaLasVegaStamps for "Feel the Rain"), and for the cut and paste mail art envelope the background is from the Artist Papers kit.
These kits come with png images for digital use as well as jpgs on printable collage sheets for your cut and paste projects. As you can see in my samples, you don´t have to use them as they are - collage is all about constructing and deconstructing, overpainting, and making your own marks!

Crows and Ravens in Gothic Arches

Crows and Ravens are among my favourite birds, and they fit in Gothic Arches perfectly, so I had much fun making my six arch shaped ATCs for a group swap. I´ve used rubber stamps from Cherry Pie, A Capella, Green Pepper Press, Scrollswork, Tim Holtz/ Stampers Anonymous, Red Lead, Carabelle, Viva Las Vegas, MadRat, The Old Island Stamp Company, Artistic Outpost and others here. My favourite one of these is the "Tower of the Blue Ravens", inspired by Franz Marc´s "Tower of the Blue Horses" that you probably know ...

Sisters

Sisters are important for my life as I have two of them, and both are very close to me though they are five and eight years older than me. For this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge themed Sisters I´ve used images from Hidden Vintage Studio, Marta van Eck, Holliewood Studios and Tumble Fish Studio, all available from Mischief Circus, to make my postcard.

Me as Queen Bee

Marta van Eck has posted a Bee challenge in the Mischief Circus forum, asking us to make ourselves a bee - fun! For my layout, I´ve used elements from Finecrafted Designs, Holliewood Studios and Marta´s own challenge freebie.

Halloween Pocket Tags

I´ve been busy this weekend, making my tags for this year´s Red Lead Halloween Swap themed "Halloween Pocket Tags". You can see the whole package on the picture above, and the scans below show the five tags inside the pocket; the last scan shows the pocket itself. I only show the fronts here, but the backs are also decorated. All stamps, stencils and images and most embellishments used are from Red Lead, I´ve only added a few tapes and embellishments from other sources.
