Leonardo Postcards

I´ve made two postcards for this week´s SPA challenge themed Leonardo (no, da Vinci is NOT his last name but is a designation of origin that just means "from Vinci", and Vinci is a little village near Florence where Leonardo was born) -

the digital version uses images from Finecrafted Designs and Dover,

and for those of you who prefer handmade cards, here´s a stamped one using stamps from Cherry Pie, Heindesign, Silver Crow, Stampington, and Creavil.

Sort of Paradise

Looks like a normal flea market on a beautiful day ... but look what I´ve found there:

What can I say - I´m not a millionaire ... so I bought a single old sherry glass and three little books.

A Little Madness

Playing around with some images from Tumblefish Studio; additional images by Christina Renee (background paper) and Tangie Baxter (title strip).

Give Me More Wings

Here´s my second batch of chipboard pages for the Red Lead Swap. Now which 3 to send? Would you like to help and tell me which three you like best? You can choose single pages of course, not the two batches as a whole. I´ll have to make my decision soon as these have to be in St. Louis/MO before September 1st ...

Give Me Wings

There´s a new swap open at Red Lead: we have to make 3 3,5 x 5 " chipboard accordeon pages for it, and the theme is "Give Me Wings". Well, I´ve ordered 6 pages to make a larger accordeon book in the end - I´ll send 3 and keep 3 for myself that I´ll combine with my swap returns. Here´s what I´ve made tonight.

Bird Circles

This week´s TMTA challenge theme is "Circle" - what a wonderful opportunity to play with my new Red Lead stamps that arrived today!

R is for Raven

Of course the published Poe page inspired me to do the letter R spread in my Alphabet Discovery altered book.

Poe Page Published

Do you remember this 4 x 4 Poe Page that I´ve made for our All Things Poe book project in the Cherry Pie Yahoo group? Today I have received my copy of the Fall 2011 issue of RubberStampMadness, and you´ll find my page on page 56. Thanks to RSM and to Marina, the owner of Cherry Pie, for sending my page to RSM! The picture below shows the book I´ve made with the pages for this project, containing lovely pages from Sandy, Petra, Carol, Linda J., Jean, Elizabeth, Linda K., Bibi, Paula, Barbara, Alison, Brandy, and Marina herself. Isn´t it lovely?

Flower Garden

Here´s my third and last card for the Summer themed mailart postcard swap.

Feel Fresh

And here´s my second mailart postcard for Lenna´s swap - seems like the cold weather is quite inspiring! Yes, I´m feeling very fresh right now!

Remember Summer

Once upon a time there was a season called "Summer". Now that we have 15 °C, a grey sky and rain every day, we can only remember the old times ... Well, I´ve heard that summer will be back (for two days!) on Monday, but meanwhile I´m making Summer themed mailart postcards for Lenna´s swap over at Creative Swaps; here´s the first one.

I´ve been zettied ...

... says Frida, introducing herself to the Three Muses this week.
Images by Pixelmusic, Superscrap, and Deviant Scrap (Nancy Baumiller, Beth Rimmer).

Owl Hollow

I love ATC swap themes that I´ve never done before, so I thought that Owl Hollow could be a fun one - but I didn´t imagine how much fun I´d have with this one after one week of being sick!

Halloween Squares

This summer definitely feels like autumn here in Germany - it´s rainy and stormy and very cold ... so why not make an early Halloween card for this week´s SPA challenge themed "Squares"? Images are by ARTchix.

19 Envelopes

... filled with beautiful Mona & Friends ATCs will go postal tomorrow - thanks to all players, and please don´t forget to let me know when your returns arrived.

See you next year for another annual blog swap!

Mona & Friends Blog Swap Update No. 6

Today´s the due date for my Mona & Friends blog swap. 18 of your 19 envelopes are already here, but I´m waiting for the last one that couldn´t have been sent earlier because of the Canadian postal strike - so please be patient, I´ll swap them out as soon as this last entry is here.
In the meantime, you should go and have a look at the last four entries for this swap and leave your comments; I´ve told you before that I´ll use your comments as hints when swapping ...
So don´t forget to visit the pages of Tamara, Ulrike, Fiona (you´ll find them on the left side), and Ingeborg to see what they´ve created.

Colour My World ...

These are my ATCs for Lenna´s "Colour My World ..." swap over at Creative Swaps. If you know me a bit, you know that I usually don´t like colour themes and that I almost never do anything monochromatic ... But I decided to take the challenge and make three ATCs showing my world coloured in grey, teal, and rust, three colours I really love (did you know that grey was my favourite colour when I was about 17?).

Zetti Cats

I´ve had SOOO much fun making this 4 x 6 page for our monthly Zetti page swap - this time it´s themed "Animal", and I couldn´t help letting four of them in ...
And because there are 11 stamps on this page and the final Wednesday Stamper´s challenge "At least one stamp" isn´t closed yet, here´s my last entry for one of my favourite challenge blogs - so sad to see it closing.

Nature´s Beauty

... is the title of this 3,5 x 5 " page for our monthly bird journal pages swap.

Clothes

The cool thing about this spread in my own Altered Book themed "Untold Stories" is that these pages originally are about clothes - thus the glued in passage on the left side (glued in many, many years ago and NOT by me) ... the original book is themed "Instructions for

Domestic Economy in the Prisoner´s Institutions in Prussia", Berlin 1923.
