Did you already paint your Easter eggs for 2009? I´ve had three friends painting with me yesterday, and as you can see it has been a wonderful mess!
When you´re painting eggs, don´t forget to put the rest of the paint that´s still in your brush on some ATCs lying around - I´ve used one of the cards from the Spring mess post and later worked a bit more on the ATC - I love its imperfection and especially the little notch at the bottom (remember that this has been a pizza package) ...
These are my Letter P ATCs for the ongoing Alphabet ATC swap. Something went wrong with the cat on the first one, so the result is that of a "Plan B" which means an alternative plan.
"Pflichtlektüre" is the German word for set books.
... is the theme of Hermine´s tip-in book I´ve made these pages for. These are each 5 x 5 inches. And for me, these are the colours of spring, so this spread is my entry for this week´s Mixed Media Monday challenge "Spring Colours".
Do you know Eadweard Muybridge (1830-1904)? If not, you should google him and you´ll be surprised how many of his pictures you already know! Something similar happened to me when I recognized that one of my stamps, the dancer on the right, is a lady probably taken from a Muybridge photo series! The Zetti stamp on the middle card is Muybridge too, of course.
Due to the small mother and child stamp, this Gothic Arch is only ATC sized. It´s a tribute to all fugitive mothers who rescue not only their own life but also that of their children. And it´s my entry for this week´s Gothic Arches challenge "Mother and Child".
These ATCs are for a swap about painters and paintings - I´m not sure that I´ll be able to stop here because I have so many more ideas and appropriate stamps ...
So far you can see my versions of Matisse, Pollaiuolo, Waterhouse, Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Leonardo.
When I saw that this week´s TMTA challenge is "Lyrics" and this collage image caught my eyes, I just couldn´t get the Clannad song "Two Sisters" out of my head ... well, it´s better than what has been there before, so thanks for the challenge! If you click on the link given above and listen to the song, you might sing along with me ... sing aye dum, sing aye day ...
What a wonderful theme for this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge! My card combines some elements that may seem incompatible - Feininger´s modern buildings, a Pre-Raphaelite woman, and words by the contemporary Swedish author Jan Myrdal. However, I think it´s a very comforting mixture.
I´ve really had party time this week when I received my package of Inkastamps, so here´s a card I´ve made with them! And it´s my entry for this week´s Theme Thursday challenge Eggs, Nest, or Birds!
