Time for another Mailart card! This 4 x 6 one goes to Canada today.
 This 5 7 x 5,7 " card is my entry for this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s challenge "Take A Ride".
Now that this swap comes to an end - there are only 2 1/2 weeks left - it´s necessary to post my updates more often. Last week I have received ATCs from Ute and Katrin, thanks!
My bathing beauty for this week´s Gothic Arches challenge is riding on a tuna - hope she´ll arrive safe and sound! If not - at least she´s had some fun ...
Have you had a look at the previous updates to see all those lovely finished cards? Here are some more links to the entries of Charlotte, Glenda, Taluula (1, 2, 3), Marsha, and Fatma. (By the way, it would be nice if you made a post with all three cards together - that makes it so much easier for all of us!)
When I signed up for this theme I was in the mood for a challenge. Well, when I sat down to make my ATCs I wasn´t sure anymore . But I found a photo of myself sitting in the rain with a silly smile, and I thought "you should look more angry here" - so I tried a Zetti face instead of mine, and it worked!
My letter D Alphabet Discovery book pages are dealing with dreams of doors, with questions of discoveries and destinations, and with some quotes about doors. Whenever I find a good one I´ll add it to these pages. (BTW, the William Blake quote on top of the left page was the origin of the name of "The Doors", one of my favourite bands.)
This swap will be due in about four weeks, and I´ve already received cards from Laura, Martina, Marilyn, Patty, Birgit, and Jenene.
This 3,54 x 5,11 " arch is my entry for this week´s Gothic Arches challenge "Roses". Usually I don´t prefer romantic stuff, but I love this Waterhouse lady, and sometimes you need to see things through rose-coloured glasses ...
Here´s some news for my 3rd annual blog swap again!
Stacey wants us to use people and faces on our tip-in pages for her 6 x 6 book, and she says "Try to express a feeling or desire!"
Deb wants a 4 x 4 front and back page for her "tip-in book" which is actually a box wherein she´ll store her pages. This is why they can be chunky, and their chunkiness is the reason for the bad scans. Then my sewing machine quit working when I wanted to sew the pages together, so they have to stay glued. Hope Deb will like them nevertheless.
Here´s my ATC for this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s challenge themed "Colourful". I´ve used another one of my new Lynne Perrella stamps and added a few letters and numbers by MaVinci.
Hope you´ve missed my German lessons lately! Here are my letter S swap ATCs with some new vocabulary: on the left, you can see my interpretation of "agravic", in the middle you have "seafaring", and the last one is in both languages. The text is also written in a snail shape and gives a quote from Francis Picabia: Our head is round so that our thinking can change directions.
My entry for this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge themed "Nests".
One week ago I posted my 3rd annual blog swap themed Zetti. During the last week I´ve had 24 sign-ups from 6 different countries - thank you all for your interest!
Two ATCs for a swap themed "poets": The first one quotes a famous verse of Hesse´s poem "Stages" - "in all beginnings dwells a magic force ...", and the second one plays with Poe´s name. I have bought the stamps of Hesse (Rajastamps) and Poe (Silvercrowcreations) just recently, so this was a good moment to use them.
My letter L spread in my Alphabet Discovery altered book are about an artist I have always admired, Leonardo. I´ve been to Vinci (that´s in the hills around Florence) some years ago and have seen the house he was born in and the beautiful view he has had from there. I don´t know how much those circumstances have an effect on the art you produce.
Maybe the reason why I don´t like black/red/gold very much is that these are the colours of the German flag. But I must admit that this combination is quite elegant, and so I´ve tried to put them together to an elegant ATC for this week´s Wednesday Stamper challenge that wants us to use the colours of our country´s flag. (If you ever tried to scan a golden piece, you know why my gold background looks like muddy brown here ... and the red and gold on the butterfly doesn´t show well either.)www.flickr.com
