Double Take - what an interesting but difficult theme for this week´s SPA challenge! Would you like to split up into two personalities from time to time? And would you prefer to travel or to enjoy your life at home? Me, I´m not sure - I love to make plans for travels, and I really enjoy discovering new territorial, but I hate to pack my bags, and I usually am not fond of the time before I reach my destination, though I like to see the landscape around me changing slowly ... And then maybe the best thing is returning home and keeping sweet memories of your travel!?

Crazy Steampunk
Here´s the whole set of Steampunk swap ATCs, and for those of you who´ve missed them, here´s another German lesson!
On the left you see a Luddite (never heard that word in English, I confess!), and the German noun would be Maschinenstürmerei.
The middle card shows two automats in love which would be called Automatenliebe in German.
And the right ATC shows sort of a periodic brain inspection, and I really hope that you´ll never be asked "Ist eine Schraube locker?" which means you got a screw loose ...

CCC: Altered Metal Alcohol Inks
I´ve made a Steampunk ATC called "Automat Love" for this week´s CCC challenge featuring Tim Holtz´ Altered Metal Alcohol Inks technique - I´ve used AI in black soot and red pepper to alter the gear (that has been brass-coloured before) and the heart (copper-coloured before).
It´s my first ATC for an upcoming Steampunk swap.

OWOH - The Winners
Now that it´s Thursday, Feb 17th everywhere (and not just here in Germany ;-), it was time to draw the winners of my three giveaways. Here´s what I did: First I deleted a few duplicates and made a numbered list with all 311 people who commented on my blog post. Wow, that´s even more than last year though we´ve had less bloggers participating - thanks for your interest!
Then I used random.org to name my three winners, and here they are:
The ATCs go to Nicole/Beadwright,
the Gothic arches go to Donna,
and the rubber stamps go to Jill Zaheer.
I´ll send individual emails to all three immediately and will send out the gifts before the weekend.
I´ve had so much fun again this year, got to know some wonderful new blogs and signed up as a follower for them, and have more than 30 new followers myself and so many lovely comments on my blog. I even received a few personal mails asking for a trade or telling me about a visit to Germany etc.; I really enjoyed those, thank you!
This has been the last OWOH event, but Lisa will host a different event next year - if you haven´t already read about it, please visit Lisa´s blog and maybe sign up for her newsletter about that new event. I´m looking forward to it!

CCC: Inking and Stamping Masks
Here´s my card using this week´s CCC Tim Holtz technique "Inking and Stamping Masks". The family picture was masked, and the plastic slide was gessoed and then sprayed with Glimmer Mist.

Love & Faith
Usually Valentine themes are not among my favourites, but today I´ve had fun making this 3,5 x 5 " book page. It was made for a monthly bird book page exchange but also qualifies for this week´s Crazy Amigo challenge themed "Valentine" and Wednesday Stamper´s challenge themed "Expressions of Love".
The stamps used here are by Stempelmine, Stampington, Stampers Anonymous, and Flamingo.

CCC: Rusted Enamel
Theme No. 31 for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge is Tim Holtz´"Rusted Enamel" technique. It´s a pity that the scan can´t show the nice texture and that you can´t touch the original tag - it feels a bit like leather, and I think this technique would be great for decorating book covers.
My Rusted Enamel background was made with Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, and Rusty Hinge and textured with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. I´ve stamped on it with StazOn Black Cherry and Timber Brown.

CCC: I Love Paris
I´m late again with this week´s CCC challenge themed "Altered Metal with Paint"! I´ve made an ATC using UTEE and Perfect Pearls, embellished with a Rusted Grunge heart and a plane charm altered with paint.
