Be Lucky

In Germany, toadstools are considered as lucky charms though they can be fatal. In my contribution for this week´s TMTA challenge, the lucky charm is the little girl warning you that this mushroom is uneatable. I hope you´ll always have someone by your side in 2012 to say no-no at the right moment ...

Love your toadstool and the message. This past Chrismas, many stores featured cute mushrooms to clip on the tree. Now I understand. I will look for a lucky mushroom for our 2012 tree. Thanks.

What a cute piece! Love the color. The only mushrooms we eat around these parts are morels, because we know they are safe (they grow in the spring and are considered delicacies). But a neighbor once gave my grandparents some autumn mushrooms that turned out to be poisonous, and they ended up in the hospital for a couple of days! Scary business.

Marion, this is adorable. Thanks for your explanation about the mushrooms/toadstools. It is not something I am familiar with. I do know that some are deadly so I would appreciate a little voice this year warning me of dangers.
