From Above

For this week´s Sunday Postcard Art challenge, we have an open theme, "Anything Goes".
Last week, I stumbled upon a leaflet with a photo of a wooden angel from a church and knew immediately that I wanted to use it. I cut the angel out, sanded and scratched him, used gesso on him, then scanned the image and printed it.
Here are two of the cards I´ve made with the image, both coloured with crayons and watercolour pencils and fnished with an embossed sentiment (rubber stamp from Red Lead). I couldn´t decide on one version - which one do you prefer?

Beautiful! And I prefer the white lettering on the darker background, but both are georgeous. Judith

I absolutely love these angels! The first is my favorite, with the dark background ans white lettering.
