If you´re a stamper, you probably know that lack of understanding in the face of someone you´re telling about your hobby. Especially if people deal with rubber stamps in their office, they can´t imagine what you can do with them if you use other motives and use them differently and with colours.
What I love about stamping is that you can use the same stamps quite differently over and over, even if you don´t change your basic design. I never make duplicates (like many stampers do), but like to make "variations on a theme".
For example here´s a holiday card I´ve made with just three stamps from Cats on Apple Trees, Charlie & Paulchen, and Butterer. I´ve used the same arrangement on both cards and used watercolours on both backgrounds, but you can see that the different colours make a great difference.
I can´t decide which one I prefer, can you?

Ich spiele auch sehr gerne mit Farben, es ist immer wieder erstaunlich, wie sich dadurch die Werke verändern.
Bei Deinen gefällt mir das zarte sehr gut, aber auch das farbenfrohe, zwei wunderschöne ATCs.

Noch ein Ps: Ich sehe gerade, dass es Karten sind und keine ATCs, sorry wegen der Verwechslung.
Hach - einfach toll! Und die Wirkung ust auf Grund der unterschiedlichen Farben einfach "anders".
Mir gefallen beide Varianten sehr gut. (Ich hatte leider noch immer kein Glück, den C&P-Textstempel zu ergattern ... der war nach dem Mekka einfach wech ...)
Das "Unverständnis" zum Stempel-Hobby kenne ich auch, die Fragezeichen, die da in den Augen zu sehen sind, kann man oft gar nicht zählen ... *grins*
