Diamonds

Do you remember the song "Diamond Life" by Sade? Well, Albert leads his own Diamond Life in his Zetti world. This card is my entry for this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme "Diamonds".

Skinny Page - O is for Observant

This week´s challenge for our project was to integrate a master´s work in our O page. I´ve used Hans Baldung Grien´s portrait of Count Philipp to illustrate an observant mood.

Skinny Book - Z is for Zany

This week Keron´s challenge for us was to integrate fabric in our page for the letter Z. As you know that my book´s theme is "In the Mood" you can imagine that this wasn´t the easiest letter for me: I only found "zealous", "zestful", and of course "zany", so I chose the last one.

Frida Kahlo ATCs

Two Frida ATCs for Sigrid - the left one is called "The Shadow of my Father", the right one "Wounded".

Gothic Arch Text

Have you ever gone to bed hoping that all the words and thoughts in your head will come to a rest? This is the idea behind my entry for this week´s Gothic Arch challenge "Text". I love the quoted words by Joan Walsh Anglund which I have recently illustrated in my journal you can see here.

Skinny Book - X is for X-cited

This week Keron allowed us to cheat - we just had to use an embellished letter x but didn´t have to find a word starting with it. So the page for my "In the Mood" book seems to fit the rules.

Canvas Childhood

A 6 x 6 inches small canvas.

Twisted Inch ATCs

These ATCs are for a swap themed "Twisted Inch". The term "twisted" has several different meanings, but my ATCs illustrate its definition as "dislocated".

Little Girls

Three ATCs for a swap themed "Little Girls", more are coming. They all have the same background but different stories. I especially like the "invisible" girl which reminds me of childhood thoughts. I don´t know why almost all children themed artwork is romantic; hasn´t it been awful to think and hear that you are too young for everything, can´t decide for yourself, have no choices, ... doesn´t it feel like you´re noone? Am I the only person who HATED this?

What a bird brain ...

... is this week´s theme for the Twisted Tuesdays´ challenge, and this is my first postcard sized entry for it.

Journal "Love, Romance & Family"

My spread for Lynn´s RR journal "Love, Romance & Family". She wants us to use vintage, Old World, or Shabby Chic style, and I hope she´ll like this entry.

Skinny Book - F is for Fearless

The challenge for our letter F page was to do it in black and white with a smidgen of colour. So here´s my fearless little girl, but maybe those shoes will be a bit too large for her to find a secure way through her life!?

Growing Old

No, I´m not old yet. But recognizing that sometimes I love to think of old times, old friends and so on really makes me think that I´m growing old. So this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme is a great one for me ...

Skinny Book - T is for Timid

For this week´s Skinny Book page with the letter T we had to use tissue paper or dinner napkins.

Gothic Arch Hands

Is it really all in your own hands?
This week´s Gothic Arch Challenge theme is "Hands", and as I´m not religious here the hand is just a symbol for everything that is not in your own hands.

Cuckoo´s Egg

Another Gothic Arch ATC for Viola.

Moon and Stars

When I was about four years old, I couldn´t sleep at full moon. Maybe that´s what inspired me for this week´s TMTA theme Moon and Stars.

More Postage People

Just imagine your life as a postage man ...

Birds´ Party

Did you really think that only humans like to have a party? You would be surprised if you looked carefully when taking a walk in the next forest ... These birds decided to celebrate with the Gothic Arches challenge participants - come on, you´re invited!

Skinny Book - C is for Courteous

This week we were asked to try the emboss resist technique for our letter C word. I´ve painted a background with ocre acrylic paint, stamped and clear embossed the Fleur de Lis, painted other colours over and ironed the piece. In the end I used chalks to make it more distinct.

Post No. 300

I just realized that I´m running my blog for about one year now and this is post No. 300 ... Maybe that is what made the lady do her happy dance? (Thanks Kelly for the great background!)
The postage man obviously doesn´t want to join the party - he can´t decide if he is Mr. Bolz or Mr. Wilde and if he´s on the guest list.

Four inchies quickly made for this week´s WS theme "Inchies".

Skinny Book - P is for Plucky

This week Keron had a really difficult challenge for us - to use a background paper which gives the cue for our word ...
Well, you know that the theme of my book is "In the mood", so I´ve had many ideas like pained, paralysed, passionate, peevish, pensive, perfidious, perky, petrified, phlegmatic, playful, puzzled ... but I did NOT have any background papers for these feelings.
It´s amazing where these weekly challenges lead us, and this week it´s the only appropriate background paper I´ve found for the letter P which led me to the plucky mood. We all know these days we feel as if we could manage everything because there seems to be a helpful hand guiding us - there might be dangers and stumbling blocks lying around us, but we´re strong enough to cope with them. But the lion here is not only dangerous, he´s also the impersonation of power and pluck ...
