Phrenology

Phrenology has been a 19th century thing, but even today some people think that parts of your character are located in distinct spots of your brain. This theory has led to some very dangerous conclusions, but also to modern neurology. And phrenology is this week´s theme for the SPA challenge.

Well done! I believe brain mapping for certain procedures for epilepsy has proven that, indeed, there is truth to phrenology. Interesting concept, and interesting art as well!

Wonderful postcard, Marion. I guess phrenology was the 19th century version of MRI's and CT scans today. Beautiful artwork. I especially love the hand pointing towards the heart.

Great! I love the heart :-) It's quite by chance that I chose to use a phrenology head in my art this week. I wondered why there were so many phrenology heads about!!
