Behind the Sun and the Moon

OMG, Loreena´s altered book themed "Behind the Sun and the Moon" has been one very hard to do for me. For my sun spread I illustrated verses from Nick Drake´s song "Things Behind the Sun": Don´t be shy you learn to fly/ And see the sun when day is done/ If only you see/ Just what you are beneath a star.
My moon spread uses a song of the German band "Unheilig" which is something like this:
It is/ Cold/ Is the chamber in the night/ Dark/ Is the world before you wake up/ It is/ More than you think/ Than you love and understand/ Lost world melts in shadows/ Elemental force that you´re feeling/ Dreaming is the brick in existence/ Only the man in the moon is watching/ Close your eyes/ The angel strolls through the night/ The black man has been awaken.

Wow these are amazing. I'm on the verge of journalling and altering books and these are an inspiration.

Your work is always so creative and inspiring - love it!!

I have a HUGE collection of crow and raven rubber stamps but I've never seen these flying ones that you're using. Who makes them? I'd love to add them to my collection.

Now - off to work on my own altered books and journals. I'm sooooo far behind on my creative stuff.

Thanks for the inspiring work and for sharing,
Kathy

Hi Katie, I don´t have your e-mail addy, so I have to answer here: the crows are stamps made by Meer Image. There are five different crows, and they´re all beautiful and of very good quality.

Hmmm - it looks like my last comment didn't make it. I'll try again :)

Thank you so much for the crow info - I've gone to Meer Images and purchased 3 of them.

I think they're likely to become my most used stamps.

I love the blogworld - I discover so much and the generous folks who share are amazing.
