Then I decided to play and learned once more that I can´t make anything that I like when I don´t like the theme ... So last night I decided to put this card away and don´t post it, but this morning I thought that this could be an interesting point to discuss on a blog - and SPA is really about blogging, I think.
So here´s my question for all you challenge bloggers: What do you do when you´ve made a piece you don´t like - do you show it nevertheless and discuss your problems, or do you hide it and only show your successes?

your pastel piece is wonderful and all the more so because it was a daunting project for you. i try to go ahead and post the things, even the ones i do not like. often i find that others like it. so it is a matter of taste! glad you posted and glad you asked the question! xo
Interessante Frage, Marion. Die Karte finde ich gelungen und passend zur Challenge!
Meines Erachtens geht es bei den Challenges ja gerade darum, über seinen Schatten zu springen und vielleicht mal etwas auszuprobieren oder zu kombinieren was man sonst nicht macht. Und auch wenn dich dein Ergebnis nicht 100prozentig überzeugt, zeigst du es zurecht als Ergebnis der Herausforderung, der du dich gestellt hast. Und da Kunst immer Geschmacksache ist, wird es auch hier viele Leute geben, die es toll finden. Meist ist man mit den eigenen Sachen ja eh kritischer als mit den Werken anderer.
Ich gebe zu, dass es auch bei mir einige Herausforderungen zwar auf den Blog geschafft haben, aber dann nicht in einen Umschlag. Karten die mich nicht überzeugen liegen meist sehr lange in der Vorratskiste und werden entweder irgendwann gepimpt oder entsorgt.

Ironically, you had the same dilemma as me this week. Although I ended up with 4 different pieces, all very similar, and I thought none of them actually looked steampunk enough to qualify. In the end, I posted them as two sets of two, with the second set not even posted to the challenge.
Usually if I don't like a piece, I don't post it. But for whatever reason this week, I decided not only to post mine, but all of the variations on a theme that I had worked on.
Normally I won't post a piece if I don't like how it looks.
