The Exquisite Corpse Project

These are my two pages for Ingrid Dijkers´ Exquisite Corpse Project. To read more about the Exquisite Corpse idea, please have a look here.
Our book´s pages will be cut in three parts horizontally so that the "reader" can combine more than 20 different heads, bodies, and legs. In addition, the words will form lovely nonsense sentences.
Have to copy and mount mine now and to decorate and label the backs ...

More Ravens and Transfers

These two ATCs were also made with Transfer Ink - the transfer is on the left, the remaining picture was used on the right.

Ink-Jet Transfers

I really don´t know why I haven´t done ink-jet transfers for such a long time - because I love them!
You can see the transfer on the right, and I´ve used the remaining picture for a second card after having transferred it. (The product I´ve used is called Transfer Ink!)
These ATCs are for a Ravens and Crows swap, and the transfers just give them the kind of mystery I´ve wanted for them.

Gothic Arch Asian

"Asian" is this week´s theme for the Gothic Arches challenge. This is not one of my favourite themes and the colours I´ve used are definitely not my favourite colours, but the result contains a lot of what I´m thinking of when it comes to Asia: tradition, exotic surrounding, and abundance for example.

Text Moos

It´s lovely to always have some Moo cards handy when you meet someone - you can use them as a calling card or a little giveaway.
This week´s challenge at Make a Moo or Two is Text.

The Colour Purple

... is this week´s Wednesday Stamper´s theme. If I don´t want this colour to give my artwork a touch of mystery, I like to add a bit of turquoise, white, and pink - and there´s always black going along with it. Thanks for the collage image, Belinda!

Letter E ATCs

Three ATCs for a Letter E swap and another German lesson for you: "Eiertanz" is a word you don´t have in English, but it means something like taking an indirect route because you don´t want to come out with the truth. Literally it says "dancing on eggs".
"Eigenheim" means the home you own.
Both eggs cards were dyed with easter egg dye colours filled in "mini misters" and sprayed on the backgrounds.

Friends

I´ve been waiting for this stamp for months so I just had to make an ATC with it immediately ;-) And it features another new favourite stamp of mine, the ledger border on the left.

Playing Favorites

Did you ever feel alone in the blog world? I don´t think so. But maybe you´ve felt a bit lost in this big world of artists´ blogs and didn´t know where to find those artists you like!?

Visiting Seth Apter´s blog "The Altered Page" you will not only find Seth´s own fabulous pieces but you´ll also get to know other artists he likes. And with his project "The Pulse" he even tries to connect people and is quite successful in doing so.
Maybe you´ve read his last survey about artistic influences; if not, you´ll still find it on his blog.

I felt honoured when Seth gave me his E-rate award some time ago, and I felt even more honoured when he asked me to take part in his "Playing Favorites" survey.

I´ve contributed two pieces for it, the first one a journal entry that you can find on his blog today.

My second piece was a canvas that will appear on his blog soon.
Stay tuned and keep an eye on his blog, it´s always rewarding.

... and more

As you can see these ATCs are pretty diverse: transfers, collages, and stamped ATCs.

More ATCs for Stuttgart

I´ve told you before that I´ve been busy making some ATCs for personal trades at the stamping convention in Stuttgart on April 5 and 6. Here are some more ...

Nick Bantock Rubber Stamps

My sister has more Nick Bantock stamps than I have, so I love to stamp ATCs with them when I´m visiting her.

Dying Eggs and Papers

Did you dye your Easter eggs this year? We have and once again we have used the remaining paint to dye some papers ...

Busy Easter Days

These are some of the ATCs I´ve made for personal trades at the "Stempelmesse Süd" in Stuttgart I´ll be visiting soon. I´ve been on a roll today filling up my album for trades. Please click on the image to enlarge it and see the details.

My sister´s alphabet stamps

As every year, I´m visiting my sister for an Easter holiday right now. Yesterday I fell in love with a rubber stamp alphabet she has bought recently and made these three ATCs. These letters are sooo beautiful!
(BTW, the ATC in the middle is another German lesson for you: the German word "Aufschwung" means "backswing" as well as "boom" ...)

Skinny Book - B is for Broken-hearted

Remember my Skinny Alphabet Book themed "In the Mood"?
The challenge for our Letter B page was to use vintage lace or trim.

Ravens

Two Raven themed ATCs for Xela. And here´s my third German lesson: the right one says "Rabenschwarz" which means "black as a crow".

ATCs Books

Two Books themed ATCs for Xela. The quote on the left one says "Reading means dreaming with open eyes".
